Puro Fair Trade Coffee Review

Puro Fair Trade Coffee Review

Coffee soothes my soul and warms my heart. But not just any coffee. I love coffee that is rich and full of flavor with no bitter tones.

So I was very excited to sample and review Puro Coffee. I was impressed by their philosophy and dedication to the environment and organic coffee beans.

I received a lovely package with three different blends of coffee including a rustic hessian bag. The package also included an adorable cup and saucer and handwritten labels were attached to each blend describing the coffee in detail.

In 2005, Miko, a Belgian company which has been roasting coffee for over two centuries, created Puro Fair-trade Coffee. Miko is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint. They installed solar panels on the roof of their Belgian distribution building and during the winter months, heat their offices by utilizing the heat generated from an air compressor to save more than 20,000 L of gasoline a year. Impressive!

Puro Fair Trade Coffee Review

The Fair-trade Foundation has set the standard to help lift working conditions and improve the lives of millions of people that work in coffee-growing dependent communities in the developing world. Puro Coffee pays fair prices for all coffee beans and its organic certification helps ensure their coffee is grown in the way nature intended. No artificial fertilizers or chemical agents are ever used. The coffee is not only fair-trade, but shade grown. Shade grown coffee encourages the preservation or re-planting of native trees to provide this essential shade. This is great for biodiversity and helps keep coffee- growing in harmony with the environment.

Watch a Puro Noble video to check out some of the fantastic social initiatives they are doing!

The coffee is described on their website as follows :

Puro Noble

Type: Fair-trade, Shade Grown
Variation: Also available in Decaf
Origins: Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Uganda
Finest Arabica content: 80%
Premium Robusta content: 20%
Description: The complex character of this blend comes from the mild and smooth yet floral Guatemalan high grown Arabicas skillfully blended with the Peruvian Arabicas for a perfect balance of flavor. Through the addition of the premium Robusta, a hint of dark chocolate is injected into the cup, thus ensuring this blend works well in all situations.

Puro Fuerte

Type: Fair-trade, Shade Grown
Origins: Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Uganda
Finest Arabica content: 50%
Premium Robusta content: 50%
Description: Wow, good morning and a warm welcome from this intense fiery blend. This dark roasted blend of high grown Arabica’s with the finest Ugandan Robusta’s creates a warm balanced cup with lively fragrant flavors, which when added to perfectly tempered milk creates a bitter sweet chocolate.

Puro Organic

Type: Fair-trade, Organic, Shade Grown
Origins: Peru & Honduras
Finest Arabica content: 100%
Description: This amazingly delicate blend is distinctive in flavor. It combines beautifully soft notes of chocolate with citric over tones that gives it a fruitiness whilst adding natural sweetness.

Puro Fair Trade Coffee Review

All three coffee blends were wonderful. Rich and luscious. As a coffee drinker, I not only love the flavor of Puro Coffee, but am happy to support them too!

If you are interested in finding out more about Puro Coffee, you can go to their website as well as follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Spring Clean From The Inside Out!

cleanse and restore kit essential oils doTerra program

Cleanse and Restore For Spring!

Spring is the most traditional time to do a cleanse and clear out that sluggish, heavy, cold-weather build-up in your system. But doing a cleanse does not mean you have to starve, drink nasty concoctions or go to the bathroom 10 times a day!

By simply using whole foods and doTERRA’s Cleanse and Restore Kit you can:

1. Have more energy for everyday life
2. Reduce cravings – for junky processed foods that are dragging you down and sabotaging your health
3. Gain clearer thinking and better focus
4. Improve your digestion – less heartburn, gas, bloating and constipation
5. Glowing and clearer skin
6. Most important,  prevent future health problems and take control of your health!
While doing a wholefood cleanse you are not starving yourself but instead feeding your body real food and getting a lot more nutrients than you are used to, feeling amazing.  You will be rebuilding your adrenals and boosting your metabolism.  My ultimate wish and hope is that you will carry this into your life after the cleanse and realize how really satisfying and simple it is to be healthy.

Things included

  • Cleanse Guide: a step-by-step guide showing you exactly how to cleanse your body using whole foods in a safe and natural way.
  • Wholefood Recipes all Gluten, Dairy and Soy free: recipes that focus on improving digestion, decreasing inflammation, and keeping you satisfied and feeling good. We are talking personal recipes for Healing Juices, Grain-Free Snacks, Paleo Dessert Bars and many more nourishing and tasty recipes.
  • Suggested Meals: a guide so you will not feel deprived, hungry, or confused about what to eat or when to eat.
  • Cleanse Restore Kit:  All the supplements and cleansing products you need for the whole cleanse and to continue repairing and building your body after the cleanse.
  • Learn about what Real/Whole Foods mean, Organic vs Non Organic, GMO’s, what to avoid in your diet, food combining , and how to makeover your kitchen.
  • Learn how eating wholefoods will save you money in the long run in more than one way.
  • Private Facebook Group: the group will be for support and ideas, pictures, and hoorays! We will check in daily to post and answer questions with support from our team’s health and wellness coaches.
  • Recorded Kick-off Call: The call will be recorded so you can start the cleanse on the day that is most convenient for you and will still receive all the support.
  • Lifetime Access: you will be able to join our private FB group and support of our doTERRA team including health coaches and nutritionists on our team!  You can continue to support each other on your wellness journey and have continued access to our circle of wise women in a relaxed, nurturing, sacred space.
This Cleanse Package is a $350 value that I charge my clients and our team is offering it for FREE with just the cost of the Cleanse and Restore Kit of $150!  Join us in increasing our awareness of what we put in our bodies and changing the way we eat and live. Your body, mind and soul will love you for it!
Cleanse and Restore Kit

The recommended kit for the cleanse is the Cleanse and Restore Kit, and Terrazyme (digestive enzymes) is optional, but is an amazing addition since most people are not digesting and assimilating the foods and nutrients they are taking in, digestive enzymes do wonders and I never go without them.

The Cleanse & Restore Kit includes:
• Lifelong Vitality Pack
• GX Assist®
• PB Assist+®
• Lemon Essential Oil (15 mL)
• Wholesale Membership free (normally $35)

TerraZyme

dōTERRA TerraZyme® Digestive Enzyme Complex is a proprietary blend of active wholefood enzymes and supporting mineral cofactors that are often deficient in cooked, processed, and preservative-laden foods.

TerraZyme’s powerful combination of digestive enzymes support the body’s constant production of enzymes critical for healthy biochemical functions including healthy digestion of food nutrients and cellular metabolism of nutrients to energy. TerraZyme includes a variety of whole-food enzymes that help with digestion of proteins, fats, complex carbohydrates, sugars and fiber.
