Cherry “Soda” (Sugar-Free, Vegan)

How many commercial sodas can advertise that they contain only three ingredients and and are free of refined sugar?! Well now you can make your own “soda” at home and feel good about it. Here’s my simple recipe with only… you guessed it, three ingredients. 🙂

Add to a large glass filled with several ice cubes:
1 1/2 cups sparkling mineral water
2 Tbsp. tart cherry juice concentrate
1/8 tsp. liquid vanilla stevia

Stir with a large spoon. Drink up!

P.S. The benefits of tart cherries are numerous. Tart cherries contain loads of antioxidants and are a good source of iron. For my Tart Cherry Strawberry Ice Cream recipe click here.

  1. Hmmm I wonder if my husband would accept this as a sub for cherry coke? Probably not, but it sounds pretty good to me!

  2. HAHA, yeah it might take him a few days to adjust 🙂 But my husband will drink this over Sprite so maybe there is hope!

Hi Laura – I'm pretty new to the gluten-free lifestyle but I'm collecting recipes like mad.

I've made a few GF bread recipes but none of them even comes close to Udi's or Rudi's or any of the other commercial GF breads. Have you found a really good recipe?

I mean, if Udi's can do it we should be able to do it, eh?

  7. Hi Laurel,

Welcome to the world of gluten-free-it sure can be an adventure! 🙂 I have recipes on this blog for Banana Bread, Fig Pecan Bread, etc.

I am working on a sandwich bread right now. I am not sure if it will be as good as the major brands, but I will try LOL. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to let me know.

  8. Cherry soda sounds so refreshing! Thanks for sharing on Wellness Weekend where I found it.

  9. My pleasure Gretchen. I think I am going to make it again tomorrow-it's been in the 80's here!
