This orange smoothie will knock your socks off or as my daughter said (who happens to love the Pinkalicious Book Series) it is Orangealicious! This drink is a healthy alternative to the carrot juices often sold at the grocery stores that are pasteurized and tend to contain artificial colors. It also happens to be incredibly high in Vitamin A which promotes radiant skin and healthy eyesight.
Cheers!
Note: I use doTerra Wild Orange essential oil or liquid orange stevia in this recipe.
- 2 cups filtered water
- 2 cups orange juice
- 2 very large carrots
- ⅓ cup raw honey
- 5 ice cubes
- 5 drops doTerra wild orange essential oil (or orange stevia)
- Wash carrots and discard ends of carrots. Add all ingredients to Blender or Vitamix. Blend on high for 1 minute. Serve!

Oh wow, that is orange-a-licious! Looks so tasty, Laura. I really crave citrus, tart, especially orange. This recipe really looks great to me. I like that I’m not the only one who makes smoothies in the winter. I’ve been making them quite a bit. I just really crave them. :-)
I love that you added carrot to it! Great drink! I would love one of these for breakfast!!!!!!!!
thetastyalternative Me too! And I am sure I will crave them even more as Spring starts to arrive here, slowly but surely
