Ahh pizza…a quick meal that the whole family loves and can be made and ready in under 30 minutes! I’ve been making this grain-free pizza a lot lately when the weather cools down and my family craves comfort food.
- Yeast Ingredients:
- ⅔ cup warm water
- 1 Tbsp. raw honey
- 1 Tbsp. active dry yeast
- Dry and Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond flour
- ¾ cup coconut flour
- ⅓ cup arrowroot
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. coconut oil (melted)
- 1 Tbsp. flaxseed meal
- 1 tsp. raw apple cider vinegar
- ½ tsp. sea salt
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place the water, honey and yeast in a small bowl and mix. Let the ingredients sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients into a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes. Add the yeast ingredients in and mix again for an additional 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle a teaspoon of almond flour onto a silicone baking sheet. Place the dough onto a silicone baking sheet. Using a rolling pin, roll crust out very thin.
- Bake crust on silicone baking sheet for 10 minutes. Add pizza sauce, cheese (or Daiya dairy free cheese) and your choice of toppings. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until bottom of crust is golden brown.
- *Please note I live at a high altitude. I suggest checking the pizza with toppings after 5 minutes in the oven and cooking an additional 5 minutes if needed.
Ahh, Laura! We are on the same wave length apparently! I’ve had pizza on my brain too – so much that I want to reach through my screen and just grab a slice from your pan. This looks fabulous! I will share soon on FB.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hmm this looks scrumptious! I think this will be my next treat I get to make myself. I have to wait a little while because I’m currently working my way through some fudgy grain-free brownies and I have a figure to keep. lol I hope you’re having a great day!
Haha! Hope you are enjoying your brownies and get to try the pizza crust soon 🙂

Thank you sweet Miz Helen!
Everyone needs one more way to make great pizza! Thanks for sharing on Hearth & Soul Hop. 🙂
This looks wonderful, Laura! Thanks so much for sharing it on Waste Not Want Not Wednesday, I’ve pinned it : )
I’m new to this gluten free lifestyle and my son is allergic to nuts, so almond flour is out. What can I substitute for it? Thank you!
I would try 1 1/4 cup brown rice flour in exchange for almond flour, but haven’t tried that version myself yet.
Hi Laura,
Your pizza looks amazing! Can this be done on a pizza stone? Thank you
I was wondering if you think I could use tapioca starch in place of the arrowroot. i have so many different flours and such around here, but don’t have the arrowroot, and don’t really want to buy yet another item. I’m kinda knew to all this gluten free baking, so not sure yet what can be interchanged.
Hi There! Yes, you should be able to use tapioca just fine in place of the arrowroot though you may need a touch more tapioca than what is called for arrowroot.
Lovely recipe! Thanks for posting to Green Living Thursdays!
