Vanilla Pear Protein Power Smoothie (Sugar Free & Vegan)

Vanilla Pear Protein Power Smoothie (Sugar Free & Vegan), gluten free, paleo, doterra

My daughter adores pears. They are her favorite fruits hands down. My son…he can eat strawberries like craaazy.

I created this smoothie to please my pear loving daughter and to make sure everyone in the family gets a good dose of protein and fiber in a smoothie. It’s been hot here and that usually means lots of homemade ice cream, salads and smoothies. I try to pack as much of a nutritional punch in all of those categories as possible :) This smoothie is satisfying, fulfilling and darn good for you. Enjoy Friends!

Cinnamon Roll Shake! (Dairy Free, Cane Sugar Free & Vegan)

cinnamon, roll, shake, smoothie, sugar free, dairy free, vegan, gluten free, paleo

Earlier this week as my husband and I were getting my daughter ready for school, my daughter asked me if I could make a recipe for homemade Cinnamon Rolls. With twenty minutes until we had to leave for school, I said sorry not right now.

“Pleaaaase!”, Emma begged. So I offered to make her a shake with cinnamon and flavors similar to a cinnamon roll. That did the trick. My kids are crazy for cinnamon. They call it red sugar. Cinnamon is amazing for balancing insulin levels as well as a great source of antioxidants.

The smoothie came out thick and creamy and filled everyone up until lunch time. I’ve even been asked to make it a few times already again this week. Please note this is one satisfying, nourishing and hearty smoothie filled with healthy fats and protein. If you want a lighter version of this smoothie, omit the canned coconut milk and opt for either 2 cups more almond milk or filtered water. Enjoy!

Orange-a-licious Smoothie! (Dairy Free)

Orange-a-licious Smoothie! (Dairy Free)

This orange smoothie will knock your socks off or as my daughter said (who happens to love the Pinkalicious Book Series) it is Orangealicious! This drink is a healthy alternative to the carrot juices often sold at the grocery stores that are pasteurized and tend to contain artificial colors. It also happens to be incredibly high in Vitamin A  which promotes radiant skin and healthy eyesight.

Cheers!

Note: I use doTerra Wild Orange essential oil or liquid orange stevia in this recipe.

Creamy Carob Banana Shake (Dairy Free, Refined Sugar Free & Vegan)

Creamy Carob Banana Shake (Dairy Free, Refined Sugar Free & Vegan)

My kids have endless energy. Endless I tell ya :) So revving them up with caffeine is the last thing they need. But no worries, they are not deprived in the least. They get their share of chocolate. Fortunately, they also happen to love the flavor of carob. And so do I. Win, win for all of us!

This smooth shake is an awesome dessert drink or a great snack for anytime of day you just want to indulge a little minus any artificial ingredients and colors.

Peach Apricot Smoothie (Dairy Free, Sugar Free & Vegan)

peach, apricot, smoothie, dairy free, vegan, sugar free, stevia

My sweet neighbor brought me over some fresh apricots she had picked from her tree a few days ago. Generally, I would try to make a baked dessert with the perfectly ripe fruit. However, my daughter begged me to use the apricots in a smoothie.

I wasn’t quite sure how apricots would taste in a smoothie…but when it is 100 degrees out, a refreshing smoothie made with any type of fruit sounds appealing. I am pleased to say this smoothie inspired by my creative daughter is simply delightful. And with another bag of ripe apricots lingering in my kitchen, I’ll be making this scrumptious smoothie again tomorrow. Enjoy this drink and the huge Vitamin C boost it will give you!

Add to Vitamix or Blender:

2 1/2 cups homemade almond milk (or unsweetened almond milk)

4 ripe apricots

2 peaches

1 banana

10 drops orange liquid stevia (or a half of a peeled orange)

1/2 cup ice cubes

Blend on high for 1 minute. The drink should be smooth and creamy. Serve immediately. Yum!

Serves 4.
