My daughter adores pears. They are her favorite fruits hands down. My son…he can eat strawberries like craaazy.
I created this smoothie to please my pear loving daughter and to make sure everyone in the family gets a good dose of protein and fiber in a smoothie. It’s been hot here and that usually means lots of homemade ice cream, salads and smoothies. I try to pack as much of a nutritional punch in all of those categories as possible This smoothie is satisfying, fulfilling and darn good for you. Enjoy Friends!
- 1 cup unsweetened or homemade almond milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 pear, washed and cored
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (of your choice)
- 2 tsp. white chia seeds
- ⅛ tsp. pure vanilla extract
- Place all ingredients into a Vitamix or blender and blend on high for 1 minute. Serve over ice and enjoy!
